Thule Air Base has been home to many people during its existence, people from Denmark, United States, Greenland and Canada.
This webpage is a tribute to this fabulous place far to the north which I had the pleasure to call home for three years (1995 to 1998).
I worked at Base Supply as MICAP/ Repair Cycle Support Specialist and last as Fuels Accountant.
I hope one day to be able to return to this fantastic place for a couple of years :-)
It is my hope, this webpage will help you recall all your memories from your tour to “the top of the world" or to get a good ballast when going to Thule.
If you have pictures and/or stories I would be happy to publish it on the site.
I seek material regarding the following:
- DET-3
- Radio Station KOLD
- A, B, C and D-Launch
- South Mountain
- North Mountain
- P-Mountain
- Sonderstrom AFB
- CFS Alert
- The fire on BMEWS
This is a personal webpage and has nothing to do with US. Air Force, so please do not ask for contact info on the base, I can not provide it!!
On the site you will find a "Old Timer List" for Thule Air Base, Sonderstrom Air Base, CFS Alert and Station Nord. |
